Bio: My name is Daniel Moy, and I’ve been a gamer since I was 4 years old. My first real game (other than NBA) was Crash Bandicoot 2. Gaming to me was more than just something to kill time with. When I was younger, it was a way to escape and immerse myself in a different world. A world with wacky trees, peaches that fly outside of boxes, where challenges can kept being replayed until you overcame them. Growing up playing games has solidified some of the best friends I could ever have. I want to be able to replicate that and share those same experiences that I had with other people. I started streaming in May 2017 and have grown now to a little community where we all support other small streamers like myself. I’m proud of what I’ve done so far, and will continue to pursue the dream of partnership one day.

Hobbies outside of gaming? I have a lot of other things I do other than gaming: Hockey, Baseball, Drumming, Piano, Programming, Creating new effects or scenes for my stream. I like to keep myself busy.

How would your friends describe you? Energetic and wacky first, bad at games second. I’ve been getting much better though recently. It’s not really fair when they’ve been playing PC games their whole life and I got introduced into it very late.

Favourite place you’ve travelled? TwitchCon 2017, Long Beach, California! It was the first time travelling on my own, plus I got to meet my friend I’ve been playing games with half my life for the first time so it was a very memorable experience.

Next on your travel list? I would love to go to Japan. The culture there seems so different than here and I want to experience it myself. I’ve always heard good things about Japan.

Go-to music to listen/party to? I listen to a ton of music so it’s really all about my current mood. Metal, rock are usually the go-to and then I’ll also listen to a lot of electronic music and some rap. Old school punk has been in my ears recently though.

Who did you game with growing up? During my childhood, myself. Once I discovered online gaming, I made a friend from Georgia and have been playing games with him almost every day ever since.

What did your parents think of your gaming? As long as I got my homework and chores done they didn’t mind too much. They didn’t like me staying up late playing games though. They knew it was a hobby I loved, and they didn’t want to get in the way with a passion of mine.

Most memorable gaming memory? Meeting all the awesome people through streaming has been very memorable. Building a little community with everyone having the same passion is a very satisfying experience. Shortly behind that however, is beating Through The Fire And Flames on Expert difficulty for the first time.

Advice to your 15-year-old self? Don’t worry about being classified as a nerd. It’s honestly not even an insult anymore. Science and computers are dope! Keep doing what you love, and you’ll get more out of life than by worrying what some people think about you. There will always be someone else that has your passions in common. Share life with those people and remember those experiences.
