Hobbies outside of gaming?
My hobbies outside of gaming include playing music, basketball, & watching movies. I play several different instruments, read approximately 1 hour of basketball articles a day, and love watching the latest and greatest tv shows and movies.
Shout out to Netflix for all the Marvel TV shows that are sweet!
How would your friends describe you?
My friends tend to describe me with three different words:
- Ambitious – I’m always looking for a new challenge to succeed in and how I can improve as an individual.
- Competitive – Words can’t describe how much I hate losing. Whether it be Monopoly, Mario Party 2, or Tic Tac Toe, I always love competing with people who are as equally competitive. It is so much fun!
- Creative – I’m the kind of guy who is always trying to think of the next biggest thing or how to improve a process. There are so many cool ideas out there and I want to be able to contribute!
Favourite place you’ve travelled?
My most favourite place I have travelled to is definitely Hawaii. The ocean is amazing and the waves are just as advertised. I’ve made it one of my life goals to learn how to surf so hopefully I’ll be able to return soon. Not to mention, they got 20-piece chicken nuggets at McDonald’s for $5.99. Canada is trippin.
Next on your travel list?
Tough question, but I am going to have to go with California. Specifically, Los Angeles. There is so much history, places to see, beaches, and the weather is great!
Go-to music to listen/party to?
I’m really big into alternative rock music and throw back jams. If Back Street Boys starts blaring at a party, you know I am going to be going “NSYNC” because “I want it that way.”
I can’t leave this section without a shout out to the Red Hot Chilli Peppers who are definitely my favourite band and biggest musical inspiration.
Who did you game with growing up?
I gamed with my little bro, my cousins, and my friends who to this day I still game with. Shout out to Damian, Michael, and Jason for Leaguing hard, super smashing till the last stock, and Pokémon battling at the stadium.
What did your parents think of your gaming?
My parents tended to restrict my gaming as I was growing up, but now they are totally all in for it and support video games. The gaming industry is exploding, who wouldn’t want to game at a time like this.
Most memorable gaming memory?
My most memorable gaming memory has to be the late-night Call of Duty Zombie Mode runs on Black Ops. Staying up till 4 AM playing video games in high school with the boys was always a great time.
Also, to this day, popping in Mario Party 3 and placing the most random bets with my friends is always a great Friday night. If you still have your Nintendo 64, you have to give this a try!
Advice to your 15-year-old self?
No, you will not be able to make it into the NBA, but with time, effort and persistence you can accomplish many things that you thought you can never do!
