How did you get involved in the local gaming community?
It started with League of Legends, I built a community with my close friends just as a friend of a friend of a friend kind of group.. eventually, that blew up to over 1000 people locally, then that 1000 people turned into 2000, 3000, 4000, and so on.. until eventually we got to 10000 members, a majority of them locally.. or at least in Toronto. As we got bigger, we had more and more people contacting us for business opportunities online, it wasn’t until an Entrepreneur named Chris Chan (Now the Manager of OfflineTV, with Pokimane, Scarra, Lilypichu, etc) came into one of our League of Legends Socials we were hosting and offered to help financially (we didn’t have many prizes back then) and those socials grew bigger and bigger until we found an opportunity to include Riot Games and professional player in one of our really big events. With that idea, we ended up inviting Doublelift as well, I had an opportunity to take Doublelift around Toronto, eat ramen with him, go to the ROM with him, and check out the UofT campus (he turned a lot of heads there).
From then on I’ve developed communities and had an interest in bringing gamers together in a social environment, and it also helped me decide to pursue my schooling in Marketing Management at Sheridan.
Hobbies outside of gaming?
My hobbies outside of gaming right travelling across Canada, trying spicy food that makes me regret being born, casually streaming, and looking at memes on reddit.
How would your friends describe you?
Quiet, Patient, Punny (Even though they cringe), and cheerful.
Favourite place you’ve travelled?
LA, for sure.
Next on your travel list?
Japan or New York, here I come.
Go-to music to listen/party to?
I always like to listen to my Deep Focus and EDM playlists on Spotify when gaming. While just cruising or walking around I enjoy listening to anything from Jazz to Rock, to Trance, anything. I like a lot of different music as long as it has a good beat.
Who did you game with growing up?
My Family, when I was growing up we had a Sega, Playstation, and all those old-gen consoles and handhelds, I was lucky enough to get into gaming really early when I was a kid, it’s lead to good opportunities in my life thus far, and I imagine as gaming becomes more accepted it will get even better.
What did your parents think of your gaming?
They introduced me to it, so they were completely fine with it!.... as long as I focused on my studies as well, anybody who loves gaming definitely needs to be responsible with time and find balance in that regard.
Most memorable gaming memory?
I was playing Battlefield 2 way back in the day with my cousin, I was flying a jet and had an enemy jet on my tail, so I dipped down close to ground level, JUST fit through a construction tunnel (both of my wings were close to scraping against the sides of the tunnel) and at the end of the tunnel, there was a crane closeby, so I very quickly lifted my jet up since it was going rather fast, just missed crashing into the crane while flying vertically, and watched the other guy who was tailing me crash into the crane and die.
